Nightmares. Heartburn.
I have terrible nightmares when I am pregnant. All with the same theme - Vin dies in new and creative ways several times a night and I always wake up with the weird choking dreaming cry.
I also have heartburn. Dude. With the heartburn already. Everyday. All day. It will be interesting to see if the heartburn=hair thing is true.
I told my sister about the #swimsuitsforbagel meme (first I had to explain ‘meme’ then Tumblr for the 9th time) and we had a long, laughing talk about women and self esteem issues and pressure from society-mainly from other women!-to get back to fighting weight as quickly as possible after birthing a baby. She laughed and mentioned this comedian. I thought it was funny.
My son used the potty with proper purpose for the first time today.
I may have a video of this life changing event. I decided not to post it online because wait…why did I take a video of this shit, really?
Except that I couldn’t believe he was actually doing it. I’ve been kind of trying to train him. I am really more of the Let Him Lead The Way kind of parent. I’ve been following his lead on just about everything thus far and giving that final nudge when it felt right.
So, he used the toilet and we sang the Potty Song and as I was cleaning things up, I burst into tears. Like, sobbing.
You know, I get so excited about seeing him learn and do things and I swear, I brag about every damn thing like its a sign from God himself but…
I am buying little tiny baby girl things and I remember this little tiny baby boy, you know? Its almost as with her coming, he is no longer a little baby.
Yeah, okay…so. Hormones and stuff.
Would you like to audition? Because I will fire someone just to hire you.

I swear, dealing with the sealer guys is ten times worse than dealing with the strippers. I originally thought they left because the day started at 4 am and ended at 10 pm and it was a hot day to be moving around on pavement.
Nope.
Two left because one guy offended them. One left because my husband yells a lot. Loudly and for long periods of time. One guy left because he didn’t realize my husband is also a police officer and we decided not to look to far into that…
So if anyone wants a terribly physical job in Rochester nights and weekends, let me know. you might hate me after day one but it pays well and by the end of October, you will have had quite the experience.

One child ten months ago and this child now.
The first occurrence was ‘a fluke’. This is normally a ‘good dog’…and she still is. Shes just not a good dog for babies.
I’d like to think, as a mother, I would immediately relocate the dog after the first transgression. But knowing how much I adore my MaxPants…
Who am I kidding? If my baby needed his ear reattached because my dog attacked it, it would take an act of God to keep me from going all Momma Bear on that dog.
But I would like to think my understanding that animals are animals would win out and I would be all humane and stuff. Which is how the parents in this case are handling things.
Earlier today, one of the babies in Playgroup was bitten badly by the family dog. 12 stitches and she’s going to be okay. I can’t imagine the heart ache her parents are going through.
How do you choose? I mean, there is really no choice. The dog needs to be relocated. (This is actually not the first bite…the first also involved a small child and stitches. About 10 months ago.) Retraining hasn’t worked this far.

5 Places To Visit: GirlRedacted in Alaska, my sister in Texas, Santorini with Vin, Disney with the kids when they are older….hmmm. I don’t know… I think I would like to go on a cruise at some point.
Four People: Vin, Rocco and New Baby and my sister.
Three things: Probably the computers since our Pics are all saved to them. We have our Important File. I’d like that to survive. Rocco’s glow worm because I don’t want to know what life is like without that guy.
Two things I like about myself: I love my people hard and completely and I am happy to have such great friends. I love how much being a mother has changed me. I am better for it and that is amazing to me.
One piece of advice: don’t listen to anyone, do what works for you. If your kid only sleeps in the car seat, park that bitch on your bedroom floor and strap the kid in. Why are you fighting to force him in a crib? Sometimes you don’t have to tell your MIL that the kid isnt sleeping in the stupidly expensive crib she insisted on buying.
What about Wednesday?
I can name my daughter Wednesday, right?
It doesn’t sound bad with our last name. I dont mind the ‘Wendy’ nic-name. All kids get teased for some stupid reason so I dont worry about names being the reason.
( I was teased for having glasses. Freckles. Being chubby. Being the new kid because we were military. Eh. Kids.)
Violet is still in the number one spot but I am not as excited as I was about the name seeing as it jumped hundreds of other names to land in the middle of the top 100 last year. These things matter to me. I have a very common first name. Thats why I dont use it.
So yeah…we are considering some options.
When you put "do not reblog," do you ever get any jerks from those "do not reblog" sites re-blogging you anyways? And what do you do if they do? I want to post pictures of my little one but am afraid because of that reason (and I've heard they track the tag). Thanks!
I haven’t had too much of an issue with people reblogging. It has happened and I honestly dont know why people want a candid shot of my kid in the livingroom on their dash but…eh. Weird.
I have been made aware of a ‘fake’ mumblr using my images and that was rather disturbing. It was brought to my attention fairly quickly and resolved damn near instantly. I was going to make an effort to watermark or not post his face anymore but I decided that there is only so much one can do with my images. Want to pretend RocStar is yours? Okay…seems sad and lame to me but he’s rather awesome and beautiful so I can get the appeal.
I imagine I dont have the reblog issue so much because I think those rebloggers are looking for really interesting images or fantastic quality images. I have no background in photography. I just like pretty pictures.
I have no idea why anyone would get off on trolling tags just to annoy people. I guess it counts as a hobby? Eh.
I put do not reblog because I am hoping the majority of users have some integrity and respect.
